Switch Fuses
We sell a complete range of switch fuses from 20A to 630A in both BS and DIN fuse versions*.
They are available as 1 pole, 2 pole, 3 pole, 3 pole + neutral and 4 pole.
There are four advantages of our switch fuses over competitors':
- Versatility
- Space Saving
- Technical Excellence
- Safety
Versatile: Because a modular structure enables the drive mechanism to be placed on the left hand side of the switch, between the fused poles, or on the right hand.
This can simplify the cabling, give you greater control over where to place the switch handle, and let you decide where to place the fused poles.
Space Saving: The switches are physically smaller than most of our competitors (look at the dimensions diagram on a product's page and compare it with the same switch from your current supplier).
Not only does this give you more room to cable the switch but you may also be able to step down a size of enclosure, saving you money and pleasing your end customer.
Technically Excellent: There are four breaking points per phase ensuring good breaking capacity and total isolation of the fuses in the OFF position.
The contacts have thick silver alloy rivets (350 micro metre) which ensures long life and safety in demanding conditions.
Safety: The switches are supplied with fuse covers, shaft and an IP65 door interlocked handle. The handle accepts three padlocks and interlocks in both the ON and PADLOCKED OFF positions.
Katko also supplies auxilliary contacts with a test position, ensuring that the auxilliary wiring (such as control signalling) can be checked before the main switch is operated.
*: The BS fuse format is used within the UK, and English-influence countries; the DIN fuse format is used mainly in Europe. (The United States uses a different format again.)
