Panel-builders

If you are building a panel for a machine or a system, chances are you're looking for one of our load break switches rated somewhere between 20A and 630A.

They are ideally suited for situations where you want to be able to control each system in a multi-system setup and/or switch out every motor.

We have a range of switches specifically designed with this in mind - the KU range - that are available from 16A up to 100A. You can find the full range on a single page here.

We have a simple product naming system, as follows. The KU 325N is:

  • Our KU load break switch
  • It has 3 poles
  • It is rated at 25 amps (AC22)
  • The N denotes it is our new, more compact and easier to install, version of the switch.

The KU range is available in both rotary and toggle designs.

Large switches, single panel

If you are looking for a large switch, probably because you want to control a whole panel at once - somewhere between 200A and 400A - then we have our VKA/VKE range.

The VKAs are the same design as the KU range, only built for bigger applications; the VKE designed specifically for heavier loads. At the lower end, we have three VKAs rated at 125A, 160A and 250A (either three or four-pole), which you can find bunched together with the KU switches here.

The VKE 4630: A four-pole, 630A load break switchAt the higher end, we offer switches from 315A all the way up to 2500A. Click here to see the full range.

Again, the naming convention is the same as the KU range above, except with "KU" is replaced with "VKA" or "VKE" above 125A.

If you click on any of the individual switches, you will be presented with full technical details for each switch, as well as the ability to add some to your shopping cart right away.

Switch fuses

Alternatively, if you are looking for extra security, our extensive range of Switch Fuses will break the circuit on both sides of the switch, isolating it.

Again, we offer a full range from 63A to 630A and from one to four poles. You can also choose between either BS or DIN fuse types.

The full BS range is here. And you can view the whole DIN range here.

Why buy Katko?

You're probably wondering why you should buy Katko over other switches on the market. We have two simple reasons:

  1. We're smaller. And the larger the switch, the smaller we are compared to our competitors. Take a second to note down the dimensions of our switches and compare them to others on the market. We don't need to tell you the advantage of dealing with a smaller switch in a crowded environment. It may save you hours of effort and hard work.
  2. The switches can be mounted in a number of different ways. Katko's focus is on two things: safety and ease of installation. As a result, we have designed our switches to mount in a number of different ways, giving you plenty of options. We're certain you'll find that once you've discovered how much easier it is to work with Katko switches, you'll come back for more.

We have another reason too: you're buying direct from the manufacturer.

By cutting out the middleman, you can save money and get a higher-quality switch for the same price. We deliver worldwide and we turn around orders the same day. You can buy online today now and we'll have the switches on their way to you within hours.
