Control Products

Our control products cover three main areas: terminals, cable connectors and cable glands. Each assists contractors with installation.

Terminals

Katko's terminals go beyond the standard DIN rail mounted terminals, having been specifically designed to connect cables from 16 sq mm to 240 sq mm. Our competitors can rarely accommodate a greater cable size than 50 sq mm.

The terminals are available in Grey, Blue and Yellow/Green and have 1 pole and 2 pole variants. The 2 pole terminals are particularly suitable for connecting large changeover switches.

They are also used as a large junction box, the largest size taking four 240 sq mm cables. See the full range of Terminals.

Cable Connectors

The cable connectors cover the same range as the terminals (from 16 sq mm to 240 sq mm). They are particularly useful where large cables need to be connected directly to switches, contactors or MCCB's without using crimp lugs. Up to two 240 sq mm cables can be connected to each pole.

Extremely useful are the KKL 1x50 and KKL 1x120 connectors. They enable 50 sq mm or 120 sq mm cables to be connected directly to switches or MCB's with tunnel terminals of 35 sq mm or 70 sq mm respectively.

Cable Glands

Katko can supply both plastic and metal cable glands to cover the range M12 to M63 as well as special glands for ATEX and EMC applications. The range also includes enlarging fittings, reducing fittings, stopping plugs and hexagon lock nuts.
