Available in either polycarbonate or steel enclosures, all of Katko's switches are rated at IP65 and have a centre OFF position ensuring that the mains supply and standby supply cannot be connect at the same time. (See IP enclosure rating explanation.)

The switches inside the enclosures are rated to break 8 x the AC23 rating. Therefore, if the mains supply is lost, and you want to make sure that you can switch to standby without problems, make sure you use a Katko switch.
